Fritz Albert Buchhorn was born in Königsberg (Kaliningrad) in East-Prussia on April 29, 1897 and put his feed onto American ground on November 11, 1924. His contact person in America was a Howard Stoddard. Howard Stoddard lived in New York in 549 W.- 113th Street. The passage from Germany to America was payed from I. F. Loges from Logan in Utah. Fritz Albert's destination in America was New York but he went to Salt Lake City in Utah. When? Maybe later.
His wife Martha, a born Schirrmacher, and his daughter Irmgard Lisbeth lived until their passage in Königsberg, Hoffmannstrasse 9. Martha was born in Königsberg on May 22, 1895 and her daughter Irmgard Lisbeth on March 21, 1920, also in Königsberg. Both entered the ship "Resolute" in Hamburg on June 16, 1925 and arrived New York on June 26, 1925. Their destination was Brooklyn, New York.
Fritz Albert Buchhorn and Martha Schirrmacher had a second daughter. It was Lottie Buchhorn. Lotti was born in July 1916 in Königsberg and died on August 19, 1916.
Martha became unfortunately only 62 years old. She passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 13, 1957.

Fritz Albert married a second time. His second wife was Cecilia Anna Marie Sandmann-Stohl. She was born in Qualkau near Schweidnitz in Silesia on May 05, 1907 and passed away on August 28, 1888 in Salt Lake City. Fritz Albert died in Boutiful, Utah on May 02, 1975.
Irmgard Lisbeth, the daughter, married Richard Joseph Horrocks. Richard was born in Salt Lake City on August 29, 1918 and passed away in Sandy, Utah on May 01, 1993. Irmgard passed away probably also in Sandy on September 04, 2003.

Irmgard Lisbeth Buchhorn Horrocks, 83, passed quietly from this life on Thursday, September 4, 2003.
Irma was born on March 21, 1920, in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, Germany to Fritz Albert Buchhorn and Martha Anna Schirmacher. She and her parents immigrated to the United States in 1925. When she was 17 her family moved to Salt Lake City where she met her eternal companion, Richard J. Horrocks. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 26, 1942.

Mom was active in the LDS Church all her life serving in many capacities and callings. Her favorite service came in March of 1986 when she and Dad were called to the Germany Munich Mission. This mission was the highlight of her life and was, and will be, the source of happiness and wonderful memories forever. Mom loved reading, gardening, and above all, her family.
Mom is survived by her children: Richard (Sara) Horrocks, Caroline (Michael) Eldredge, Irene (Don) Sontchi, Michele (Randy) Hart and daughter-in-law, Katherine Horrocks; 28 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren with two more on the way! Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and three sons, Keith, Mark and Robert.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at the Union 11th Ward, 1433 E. Old Mission Road. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, and at the ward Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 4th Avenue & N Street. Funeral directors, Larkin Mortuary.
