Buchhorn from Murrhardt to Brutus, Michigan, USA

A Buchhorn family from Murrhardt in Baden-Württemberg emigrated to Maple River Township, Brutus, Emmet County, Michigan.
But we want to take a look at the family in Germany before we talk about the emigrants.

Georg Michael Buchhorn and his wife Elisabeth, surname unknown.

Both were probably born in the second quarter of the 18. century.

The birth of three children are known. The daughter was Christina Margareta Buchhorn. She was born in Ziegelbronn on 3. February 1801 and died in Fronfalls on 23. March 1841. She was buried in Mainhardt on 26. March 1841 at 1 o'clock at noon. The cause of death was an "unfortune confinement". She became only 40 years old. She was not married and said to Johann Rügert. They probably had 9 common children. Christina had born 11 children. The first two children had the name Buchhorn. All other children the name Rügert. Why Christina and Johann never married is unfortunately unknown.
